Heritage house signs are an exclusive range of name and house number plaques available only from Standingstone. The original inspiration for these signs derives from the ornate carving and ornamental plasterwork found in the grand English country houses of the 17th and 18th Century - a golden age for the British craftsman and artisan. Heritage signs are edged with a traditional rope twist border and are available in a plain style or with a choice of three designs which are oak, rose or vine.

These house signs and number plaques are individually made to your order and cast by hand in resin bronze - also known as cold-cast or bonded bronze. This method of casting with an exterior finish of 'resin metal' enables the faithful and accurate reproduction of the original low relief modelling. (More information on materials)

Together with the patina-effect colour wash it convincingly creates the appearance of a true bronze casting. The sculptural design of these signs and plaques is enhanced by the calligraphic style of lettering which is etched into the surface of the sign. (More information on lettering styles)

A house name can be ordered with a matching number plaque and each design has the option of a larger nameplate to accommodate longer house names on two lines.

The
combination of traditional craftsmanship and creative
flair ensures that a choice of any house sign from the
this collection will provide a lasting and handsome
complement to your home.
