Black Oval House Sign – 39

Oval ceramic house plaque with transfer flower motif on a black background and stuck-on vinyl number. I’m afraid that this type of sign was going to crop up sooner or later – the later, the better as far as I’m concerned.

Despite their gaudy appearance, you’ll find these plaques wherever you go. The main reason for their proliferation is that they are cheap and widely available in DIY stores and hardware shops.

But why anyone would consider defacing their home with such tacky house signs is beyond me. The only justifiable excuse would to have a temporary one on your home to raise lots of money for your favourite charity on a sponsored bad taste day.
