Acrylic House Sign – Captain’s Cottage

A clear acrylic plastic house nameplate with burgundy coloured vinyl backing. This type of material is commonly used for, and more appropriate to, commercial and business signs.

Acrylic house signs usually have the advantage of being cheap but the disadvantage of appearing cheap. If the signmaker uses lower grade materials they will dull and degrade relatively quickly.

These plastic signs always look out of place on older properties and rarely do justice to more modern homes. The only instance in which they may be OK is something like an ultra modern, minimalist mill conversion.
