House Date Plaque - 1688 |
House date plaque displaying the year in which the house was established or built along with the initials of the builder or homeowner. This one is dated 1688 but they are more commonly found on Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses. At this time house builders would only develop a few homes at a time, therefore a variety of different styles of plaques can usually be found in a single street. They are less common on houses that are built today but are a good way of showing you have pride in your home especially if it is a self-build project – they also make a great housewarming gift!
At Standing Stone when we are approached to supply these house date
plaques we recommend using one of our plain nameplates. |
