Circular modelled plaque – Singing Waters

I certainly wouldn’t like to come face to face with this creation for the first time down a dark alley on a rainy night. Hopefully it’s unique so will only frighten the local children and their pets. OK, so I don’t particularly like it but why?

For starters it’s a bit too of an obvious visual translation of the house name. Next the modelling is rather crude - especially the face, and the glaze colours are rather brash and garish. However, the bulk of my criticism is reserved for the sausage-like modelled lettering – easiest and quickest way to do it and doesn’t it show.

Any suggestions for the song this ceramic house plaque might be singing?
