I believe this is another sign made by printing an image on to vinyl then applying it to a foamboard backing. This is OK for commercial or display signage which is going to be changed after a year or two. But I don’t think it’s so appropriate for house signs which should give off a greater feeling of permanence.
It’s not all bad though – what a super house name! I wonder if a
past owner or the present one has any connection with ceramics. I’m
not 100% sure (please correct me) but I think it may be a term
associated with a type of glaze. |
