House number plaque with vinyl lettering
Why anyone would
actually consciously choose to place this type of number plaque on
their home is beyond me - I suppose some people may be tempted by
the low price. The sign maker (should that title really apply in
this case?) buys in cheap black sign blanks and applies an even
cheaper floral transfer and plastic vinyl lettering. He then surely
must almost pay people to put these atrocious signs on their homes
(excepting those who have had the part of their brain removed which
controls good taste).
Could it be a plot by some devious, evil fiend who wants the world
to believe our nation is peopled by tasteless, ignorant and drunken
half-wits? But why go to all this trouble when he could broadcast
CCTV footage of our high streets on Friday and Saturday nights.
