Cheap house numbers

Why anyone would actually consciously choose to place these cheap house numbers on their home is beyond me. I suppose some people may be tempted by the low price but as with everything in life, you get what you pay for.

But why not invest a little more and have something far more contemporary and attractive on your home? I'm not saying you necessarily should buy one of my house numbers (but I won't complain if you do), there are lots of well-designed, tasteful ones out there. They are made by independent craftspeople who take pride in their what they produce and believe that good design and workmanship wins out over cost every time.

Yes, you can still get hold of these plaques, they are still made by sign makers (should that title really apply in this case?) who buy in cheap black sign blanks and apply an even cheaper floral transfers. Even worse, they then use computer cut, adhesive plastic vinyl numbers which can be easily picked off with a fingernail -  go try it in B&Q if you don't believe me, but don't say it was my suggestion.

If you do happen to have one of these cheap house numbers adorning your property, shame on you, please take action and replace it immediately - you don't who might to see it!
